Once the resin is saturated, it is regenerated using common salt, allowing seamless continuous operation.
Working Process of Water Softening Plant
Hard Water Inlet
Water enters the system containing hardness-causing ions like calcium and magnesium.
Ion Exchange Resin
Water passes through a bed of cation exchange resin, which traps hardness ions and replaces them with sodium ions.
Soft Water Output
The result is soft water with reduced scaling potential, ideal for use in industrial and domestic systems.
Regeneration Cycle
Once the resin is saturated, the system uses brine solution (NaCl) to regenerate the resin bed, making it ready for the next cycle.
